Label My Food

Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.

Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes, without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to eat them?

If you care about what goes into your food and where it comes from then Label My Food needs you.

Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to dramatically improve the information they provide to customers on their menus.

Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food that motivates you, please show your support.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, there is a rust problem   July 14, 2008

I purchased one of these last November from another Amazon seller and, at that time, I would agree that it seemed to strongly made and worked well. Unfortunately, the blades are chrome plated steel and the chrome disintegrates at the spindle end, which the most most stressed point (and almost impossible to completely dry after use). So, apart from including little bits of chrome plating in the ice, the spindle end of the blades are rusting, giving an 'interesting' colour tint to the ice!
A great pity that the blades are not made Stainless steel, which would have prevented this problem.

5 out of 5 stars Bargain!   November 8, 2007

Far too cheap compared to other (mainly plastic) crushers - that's what I thought when I ordered it but took a chance anyway.
When it arrived I found it solid, heavy, metal, works very well and a really great deal.
I reckon they must have got the price wrong - buy it while it lasts!
