| Label My Food | Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.
Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every
day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes,
without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made
with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to
eat them?
If you care about what goes into your food and where
it comes from then Label My Food needs you.
Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging
restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to
dramatically improve the information they provide to customers
on their menus.
Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food
allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food
that motivates you, please show your support.

Not What it should be!!!! January 3, 2009 I am also not as happy with Mowtown 50 as I thought I would be. It does not have a lot of the old favourites on that we used to dance to and know so well. On the whole I am a Mowtown fan, but this did not hit the spot.
Why bother ? December 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't add much to the comments hitherto but, most Motown afficiendos will more probably have most of the better quality "classic" tracks on this album so I must ask whoever compiled this, why ever did you bother?
There was so much more that could have been done to compile an "outstanding" selection that would have been testimony to the Motown ethos, its standards, its musicians, songwriters and performers. Sadly, this is not THE compilatiion.
As it's Motown's half-century, why not the BEST 50 tracks ? Yes, that would be "subjective" but, I'll bet that 99 Motown fans out of a 100 could have compiled a better playlist than this.
Motown have without doubt made a sow's ear of this!
I must stress that I DO NOT possess this specific compilation but, do have the majority of these tracks and I wouldn't waste my money on this compilation.
If Motown want to consult with me about what should be a definitive collection I'm here waiting, but then again, so are another 98 Motowners!
Going for Gold, but not quite reaching it. December 24, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you want a Motown collection, the white covered album, Motown Gold, which has been out for a few years now, is much better.
This being the 50th anniversary of Motown, I had high hopes for this album being a success. Well, it is a success in terms of sales; I see it's charting pretty highly.
But it's not as definitive or varied as it could be, and although yes, it includes all the classics, it's nothing new or different. I think a wider variety of artists could have been used, and/or different tracks from the ones being featured, as this label already has many of the tracks from this record on the "original" white covered album.
not the best December 8, 2008 27 out of 29 found this review helpful

THIS IS NOT THE CELEBRATION IT SHOULD OF BEEN December 6, 2008 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
As stated in a previous review this is not the Celebration of Motown 50 I was expecting to hear. If this is what the voters thought was the best of Motown from the past 50 years, as a Motown fan, I am appalled! I cannot believe that Motown fans would vote to listen to an artist sing a cover version of "pop" song when that artist has been credited to have recorded classic original Motown songs of thier own. Thank goodness there are quite a few CDs available that do represent the true Motown sound of the last 5o years, several of which are available here on Amazon. Something has gone terribly wrong in putting this Album together! I was so looking forward to writing a review of this CD on the new Dunoon Community Radio Web Music Review page as an insight into what Motown has contributed to music over the last 50 years-Not with this CD I am sad to say.
