Label My Food

Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.

Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes, without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to eat them?

If you care about what goes into your food and where it comes from then Label My Food needs you.

Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to dramatically improve the information they provide to customers on their menus.

Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food that motivates you, please show your support.

Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
Featuring a flurry of musical moods from a variety of producers--everyone from The Outsyders and Lil to Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and Lady Gaga--Britney's new album, Circus is clearly a determined effort to haul herself back to the top of the pops after a particularly rocky year. Lead single “Womanizer", with its stuttering drumbeat, buzzing synths and hooky chorus, is reminiscent of the album's other sonic firework, the raunchy “If U Seek Amy". These fiery missives indicate that Britney is back on form--but many other songs come across as damp squibs in comparison. Her extensive use of Auto-Tune adds a robotic aspect to her voice, rendering certain songs less engaging than they could be (the 80s electro of “Leather & Lace" and the title track are two examples). Opener “Mannequin", the ballad “Out from Under" and “Kill the Lights" (a song about the paparazzi) come close to previous form, but still lack the essential spark needed to make Circus the album it could --and should--have been. --Danny McKenna

5 out of 5 stars Britney's back as strong as ever!   December 26, 2008
I was so pleased when I found out she was releasing a new album, but a little sceptical as her previous album as Blackout was good but not as good as she used to be, but I'm pleased to say this album is better than ever. I'm not dissapointed.

1.Womanizer Definetely the best song on the whole album,so catchy, good background music. Britney's voice sounds great on it.10/10

2.Circus Liked it immediately when I first listened to it,not quite as good as Womanizer but not far off. 9/10

3.Out from under Wasn't to keen when I first listened to it but it's definetely grown on me,a beautiful melody. Similar style to Everytime on her "In the Zone" album. Her voice sounds great on it. 8/10

4.Kill the lights Great song but not my favourite. 7/10

5.Shatterd glass I can't stop listening to it, a beautiful song.9/10

6.If U Seek Amy Catchy tune, great lyrics. 9/10

7.Unusual you A very relaxing song Britney voice sounds very good.8/10

8. Blur Quite boring, tune quite dull.DEfinetely the weakest song on the album. 6/10.

9.Mmmm Papi Love the beat, make you want to sing along 8/10

10.Mannequin Never really got into this song but it's quite good. 7/10

11.Lace and Leather Great tune. 8/10

12. My baby Great vocal, good emotion, her voice that gives the song feeling. 7/10

13.Radar In my opinion shouldn't have been put on this album as I already have it on her previous album. Not her best song. 6/10

14. Rock me in The best song onthe album after Womanizer. 9/10

15. Phonography Sounds great, very catchy Another one of Britney's best. 9/10

16. Amnesia A great end to a sensational album, her voice sounds great, great chorus.

Overall one of her best albums yet, much better than blackout as not as many mechanics have been used.

4 out of 5 stars good album   December 20, 2008
This is a good album. Took me a couple of listens to like most of the tracks. However, alot of the songs do sound the same and although its more pop orientated than her last album blackout, the songs still have a certain amount of charm. I love the first single, womanizer & circus is a good follow-up.

4 out of 5 stars Won't win over the haters, but if she continues like this she'll stick around   December 15, 2008

Britney's last release 'Blackout' got very much overshadowed by her personal troubles - that was rather a shame, because there were some great dance tunes on there. I count Radar and Break the Ice among her best work - but the album did suffer from a lack of overall cohesion and personal touch. The songs all boiled down to about two topics, there were no ballads and it all came off as a bit clinical. Good quality clinical, but missing something. It was more as though somebody had randomly picked a selection of good songs than actually tried to make a cohesive album.

Well, Circus has found that weakness and fixed it. Out From Under is a lovely, atmospheric piece and its gentle vocal is a nice contrast to some of the power ballads dominating the charts from the likes of Beyonce and Leona. Blur is a slow song with an edge, and it's good to hear that even where she's slowed it down she's still experimenting and trying different things. She discusses life in her goldfish bowl on tracks like Kill The Lights and Mannequin, but the album doesn't lose the slick production and catchy hooks that gave Blackout its strength. She's also relying a little less on the vocoder so you can hear more of her voice rather than effects. If You Seek Amy is a rip roaring and cheeky little number which I can see going down a storm in clubs - don't know if radio will be able to take it without bleeping its titular joke to death though! Title song Circus is my personal favourite and makes me want to get my two left feet onto the dance floor to do my best Britney impression.

The album's not perfect however - My Baby while clearly heartfelt is very syrupy, and Mmm Papi may be one of the most irritating things I've ever heard. It refuses to grow on me and I'd have happily swapped it on the main release for any of the bonus tracks which are of much better quality. I have no idea why Radar is included when it was already released on Blackout a mere year ago, that seems a very odd decision by her record company.

All in all if you have ever had any liking for Britney, even just in passing, then this album shouldn't disappoint. I don't think there's anything on there that'll make a convert of her detractors, but then ten years later people have probably made up their minds for good! Fans should greatly enjoy this record as should anybody who likes a bit of fun, dancey pop. Don't expect 'Imagine' or anything similarly deep and meaningful, but expect a good time.
