| Label My Food | Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.
Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every
day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes,
without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made
with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to
eat them?
If you care about what goes into your food and where
it comes from then Label My Food needs you.
Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging
restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to
dramatically improve the information they provide to customers
on their menus.
Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food
allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food
that motivates you, please show your support.

Arthritis? No problem! January 4, 2009 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my partner who suffers with RA. It makes opening all sizes of jars and bottles an absolute breeze. Supplied with 2 energizer batteries too. If you have any sort of joint pain or weakness in your wrists I could not recommend this more highly.
Faulty one January 4, 2009 I bought one for my 80 year old mother in law for Christmas as she cannot open new jars. It seemed to work OK when I demonstrated it, but the thing would not switch itself off. Also the battery compartment was very difficult to get on and off, she wouldn't be able to do that by herself. The idea is a brilliant one, but I'm not sure about the quality control.
Big December 29, 2008 I have big strong hands so didn't really need this. If you have small weak hands it would be useful.
Power! December 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product was bought for my mum, who is beginning to have problems opening jars due to weakness in the thumbs. We've used it a few times and it has performed as expected. It is clearly very powerful and makes opening a jar fun! The only negative thing we had trouble with was the battery cover. It is very tricky to close after the batteries have been installed. However I still give the product 5 stars because once this initally tricky part is done then it doesn't need to be worried about for ages. For anyone who doesn't have a strong man around 24 hours a day to open jars, this is the product for you!
Most Excellent December 26, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have bought this for my mum (who suffers from Parkinsons) for Xmas and as soon as she unwrapped it she wanted to try it on a jar she had been unable to open. Pop it on top of the jar, press the button and away it goes. Absolutely fantastic, especially for people living on their own who normally struggle to open jars.
