| Label My Food | Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.
Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every
day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes,
without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made
with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to
eat them?
If you care about what goes into your food and where
it comes from then Label My Food needs you.
Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging
restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to
dramatically improve the information they provide to customers
on their menus.
Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food
allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food
that motivates you, please show your support.

Awful! January 7, 2009 As the coffee shop at work is becoming increasingly expensive I thought I'd start making my own - I wont be doing it with this mug though! Unless you like a very small cup of coffee you'll be disappointed with the capacity of this 'mug'. Not only that, but if you put a little too much water in it (all too tempting as the capacity is so small), the coffee grounds will escape around the sides of the plunger as you plunge it. Even with the correct water level the gauze in the plunger is of such poor quality that you can still expect to have grounds in your coffee (I'd used the same grounds in other cafetiers without problems so I know they're not too fine). After using this 3 times I've had enough and will be looking for a replacement.
Happy Sister January 1, 2009 I bought this for my sister, she is delighted with it. She doesn't drink tea and prefers real coffee to instant. No more setting up the coffee machine, no filter papers to buy and the coffee stays hot. If I were a coffee drinker I would have bought one for myself. If in doubt, treat yourself or a friend
Great idea, poor seal November 5, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought this was a great buy until the rubber seal around the filter started to wear out. Now I get mouthfuls of coffee granules and I have had to stop using it. However they are cheap, and as someone else pointed out it can save a fortune if you drink a lot of coffee at work.
I will probably replace mine but I will have my fingers crossed that the seal is better on the next one.
Coffee Junkies never leave home without it! April 18, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This mug is the BEST way to produce coffee without all the clutter of excess equipment. So very simple but very effective, I've not had a bad cup of coffee and never been so easy to clean than a messy cafetiere. The thermal properties of this mug also excell, as it stays hot for a long time and will not burn your hand. Also unlike other plastic mug products, you don't taste the plastic.
Get one if you want real coffee - cheaper than the cafe bars January 16, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've owned one of these for over 8 years - use it at work every morning for that fresh coffee taste at a low cost. Having item combined means less washing up and insulation means your brew stays hot far longer than in a normal mug.Plus if its ever dropped it doesn't break like a pottery one would. Buy one!
