Mine arrived today - fast delivery. Opening the box was a mixed-feeling experience full of apprehension. The marked cheapo box obviously does not suit the watch and the manual (right manual) and guarantee were marked too. If I had paid 250 for this I would have expected much much much more. The plastic bag the watch was in has what look like oil stains on it. The watch had a bit of clean tissue paper wrapped around it. I feared the worst - the watch must be as bad as the rest... and likely a dead battery too :((.
However, when I took the watch out, not so. :) The watch had its plastic covering on the face intact (no air bubbles). The one on the back looks like someone started to strip it off but decided not to. The rest of the watch looked new. I detected a few tiny marks on some of the links but nothing obvious or serious. The watch was working too so the battery seems okay - so far...
The time on the watch is winter time so 'maybe' it was sent back to whomever Amazon gets these from and had a battery inserted...
In spite of that lot, I will keep the watch. I am looking at it as a secondhand (sorry for the pun) watch which for 50 and three-year warranty is good value. Also, it feels and looks very good. Nice design which looks better than the pictures on Amazon. It is quite heavy contrasted with my other watches but it is very well made. I like the hidden bracelet fastener.
I see Amazon does not have these as available. You might though look at the silver-dial version which is slightly more expensive. I think though well worth it.

Like the other reviewers, mine didn't work either, and also had the wrong manual. I had a replacement watch sent, but that also had a dead battery. I tried to find an authorised dealer locally to get a new battery fitted (so the warranty was not voided) but couldn't find one in time (I was about to go on holiday), so I returned it. Amazon must know that there is a problem with these, so I can not see how they can continue to sell them. Fair enough, it's a good price, but if they know they are selling them with dead batteries, then they should advertise them as such. If anyone's had one that actually worked I'd be interested to know.

Accurist GM104LN Stainless steel Gents flyback bracelet watch
This is still being sold elsewhere at 250, I love this watch. At 60ish its a bargain. Ok so the battery was duff on the one that turned up, but I got a new one fitted rather than sent it back for replacement as I liked the watch so much I didn't want it to go back. Really pleased with it.

I had this watch with the silver face for my birthday. As with the other review mine was not working either and had the wrong manual. I emailed accurist and they sent out the correct one in the post the same day (excellent communication and service) and will be off shortly to get the battery changed. The watch is an anniversy edition that came out in 2006 and has a battery life of two years (detailed in the correct manual) which is why it wasn't working when I opened the box. The watch itself is excellent, well made, reassuringly heavy and looks great.

ASIN BOOIDPQX4 Accurist mens watch GM104 LN.
Prompt delivery, The Watch was not working when I opened the box, it did not have the correct owners booklet/manual I have had to contact Accurist for the correct one. I like the watch and eventually had the battery changed at my own expense.This watch retailed at 250 I expected it to be better presented and in working condition.
