Label My Food

Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.

Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes, without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to eat them?

If you care about what goes into your food and where it comes from then Label My Food needs you.

Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to dramatically improve the information they provide to customers on their menus.

Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food that motivates you, please show your support.

I have used this for a few days now. It worked perfectly out of the box with my Acer Aspire. Plays and writes quite happily, it fact does what it says on the box. It's small and light enough to carry about. The only thing I haven't tried is the lightscribe, but this isn't vital for my use of the drive.

Not sure - maybe I just got a duff one. It doesn't seem to read discs, which ya know, I'm sure is one of its primary functions. Or at least one would hope it would be.

As my new netbook lacks a CD drive, I bought this to download some software supplied with a router. The drive registers on the computer, but fails to actually read "anything."

Very strange.

I will wait to see if the replacement actually works - but so far, not so good.
