Label My Food

Would you buy battery farmed eggs from a shop or supermarket?
Probably not.

Yet restaurants and cafes use battery-farmed eggs every day in cakes, mayonnaise, fresh pasta, and many more dishes, without telling you. If they were labelled ‘made with battery-farmed eggs’ would you still want to eat them?

If you care about what goes into your food and where it comes from then Label My Food needs you.

Label My Food is an exciting new campaign encouraging restaurants, pubs, cafes and all other food outlets to dramatically improve the information they provide to customers on their menus.

Whether it is animal welfare, the environment, a food allergy, your religion or just a general interest in food that motivates you, please show your support.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic product   January 7, 2009
This program installs an event planner (like a diary) which allows you to put in all your special dates so you can be reminded when you need to make cards. The second program is the card maker which allows you to either make a card for printing or an e-card (a feature which personally i love and find very useful)to email. The program comes with a password/child lock to allow children to just use certain features. It has several template cards which you can customise with different pictures/photos or text. The graphics are high quality not like the clipart you find on programs like publisher and easy to use even if you're not very confident with computers.

Some people have mentioned that they've had problems loading or running this program but I have a year old laptop running Vista and have had no problems with loading or lagging.

This is an excellent product and I don't think I'll be buying cards from now, I will be designing all my cards using this software.

4 out of 5 stars great fun   January 4, 2009
We had great fun with this making personalised calendars using photos of our grandsons as well as using some of the graphics provided. We also made cards and postcards for every occasion. We made lots of personalised stationery as well. A great time was had by all the family each adding their own bits. A great way to get together and have lots of family fun. The added bonus was that everyone found it quite easy to use.

4 out of 5 stars Not the best card making program I've used, but not the worst   December 25, 2008
This is a very good program for making and amending pre designed cards and there are a lot of really lovely pre designed cards in this program, but one thing has ruined the amending bit of it for me completely. You can't resize the height and width of a design seperately and that can become a real pain in the backside if you don't want a border around your design etc. However there are loads of cards a user could print out directly without any changes needed so it's far from a wasted program.
The design from scratch section is excellent, in which you can resize height and width seperately, and a really professional looking card can be made without any real problems, the process being very easy to follow.
I would like a printed manual to read through rather than an online one, but what is given is very helpful and clear.
Were I recommending a card making program to someone this wouldn't be the first one I told them about but it would be in my choice of ones to pick from. It's a good program that could be improved a bit to make it great, which is what I think my number one is.

5 out of 5 stars Great for card makers of all ages!   December 24, 2008
This sytem is easy to instal and very easy to use. Make cards for every type of event and put names, dates in fact any details on then as well. Lots of other projects not just card making. Really good item to have.

4 out of 5 stars Easy to use if slow to install   December 24, 2008

The Hallmark Card Studio 2009 is a simple bit of software that allows you to design and create cards for all occasions, then seamlessly print or email, all in one neat package. It also includes a fairly basic photo editor and an Events Planner.

As a package it is quite well thought out and intuitive to use (I never needed to read the on-disk manual) and there are a large number of templates that can be used, with a raft of cliparts included. You can import your own pictures etc (and sounds for the email card) so the scope is only limited by you imagination.

It took me only 10 minutes to create an e-card and send it to my sister, and most of that time was spent searching for the right photos to include. For the e-card, it actually creates a small .AVI media file which will appear as an attachment to the email. The only minor grumble is that it always adds an extra slide at the end to advertise itself (a necessary evil I suppose).

My only other complaints were the tediously long installation and the lack of system requirements needed. I am still running XP, which is fine (it is Vista ready too), but nowhere did it say it needed the .Net 3.5 framework (maybe in the on-disk manual...) - fortunately this is included on the disk too, but the tediously long installation is made even longer with the framework too. It also needs 3.2 Gb of installation space as it copies the whole DVD onto the hard drive so that it can work without the DVD.

Overall, not a bad product, despite my gripes.
